I don't know if we are still doing chapter 7 or if we are doing chapter 8, but I would like to make reference to something that I found to be interesting in chapter 7.
According to the book there is something called "women television" which is basically referring to programs that are targeted for women. These programs were supposed to educate people about the importance of being woman and that there should be no discrimination against us. However, the programs could be a hinder to feminist ideas, or ideas of gender equality. Some programs target a specific segment that does not represent all women and their interests. So, I think it's interesting how there is this dichotomy between the purpose of "women television" and the real consequences of it.

The idea could in theory be extended to LGBT groups as well, but I don't think the core purpose is a good idea. Minorities don't need to be singled out and targeted, they need to be included.

Feminist movements can be a double edged sword. I am grateful with the first movement who granted us the rights we currently enjoy. However, I have seen cases where the movement is taken to the extreme of looking down to men or feeling superior. I believe in equal chance of opportunities and mutual respect.
